European Voluntary Service (EVS)
"Europe is everywhere” – The BHH Sozialkontor gGmbH takes part in this extraordinary idea as a hosting organisation for European volunteers. Young people from Spain, Italy, Poland, Slovakia, France, Lithuania, Turkey, Russia, Greece and other European countries have enriched our work with adults with physical or mutual disabilities since 1997. They are mainly responsible for assistance in cultural and leisure time activities.
Places
We have 11 places for volunteers in six different projects.
Conditions
The EVS allows a young person for 10-12 months to be a volunteer in one of our projects and learn to know another European country, another culture and another language.
Costs
The volunteers get board and accomodation and a pocket money per month. Furthermore the expenses for a ticket for the local traffic, the insurance, a language course and for leisure time activities are incurred. The European Voluntary Service is financed by the European Commission and by the BHH Sozialkontor.
